Fascist conservative offers rewards for killing

peoples livliehoods. This is what has become of the conservatives in this country. Wild eyed extremists offering up bounty rewards for the heads of professors they disagree with.

Conservative Drops Offer of $100 Bounty at UCLA
Activist says the bid for classroom information on 'radical professors' became a distraction after it provoked a national uproar.By Stuart Silverstein, Times Staff Writer
The conservative activist who is waging a campaign against what he contends are UCLA's "radical professors" Monday withdrew his offer to pay students bounties of up to $100 per class to provide information about their teachers. But he pledged to continue his effort with unpaid volunteers. The $100 offer enabled activist Andrew Jones to create a national media stir last week but also drew heavy criticism from faculty who complained of a "witch hunt." The furor prompted the resignation of several prominent members of his organization's advisory board.

Jones, the president and sole employee of the fledgling Bruin Alumni Assn. and a former leader of the student Bruin Republicans, said the payment offer had become "a distraction from the real problem, which has been all along the issue of classroom indoctrination by UCLA professors."He vowed to keep his campaign alive without payments to students, saying that it is necessary to counter leftist instructors who improperly push their opinions on students.

Americans not buying Bush's war

Hundreds of thousands dead and 300 Billion for Bush's war . Shame on the Republicans for electing this monster.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Americans overwhelmingly lack confidence that Iraq will have a stable government in place within the next year, and more than half say that the war has not been worth its cost, according to a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll released Wednesday.
Fewer than one in five, or about 19 percent, of the 1,003 adults quizzed Friday through Sunday, said they believe Iraqis can assemble a sound, democratic government in the next 12 months that is able to maintain order without the assistance of U.S. troops. Seventy-five percent said they didn't believe that would happen.

Republican Ney fixed Ohio in 2004

Now we hear that Mr Ney was on the take AND on Diebolds payroll. Diebold makes voting machines that were used in parts of Ohio .The Republicans have become the culture of corruption and all the news lately proves it ,without a doubt.

From Bradblog.com

The Dots Connect Between Abramoff, Ohio 2004 Election Smokescreen and Ney's Former Staffer Revealed to be on Diebold's Payroll While Working for White House Law Firm All the While as HAVA -- America's 'Election Reform' Bill -- is Used for Political Payoff in the Bargain...
There's been a great deal of speculation over the last several days, particularly in the light of Jack Abramoff's recent guilty pleas, concerning the connection of Congressman Bob Ney (R-OH) to Election Fraud in Ohio, and indeed, vis a vis his stewardship and authoring of the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) back in 2001 and 2002. The heavy-handed tactics he has taken since then in order to keep the flawed act from being changed in any way over the years, along with the great lengths he's gone to in order to keep the nation's eyes off of massive electile dysfunction in Ohio and elsewhere since 2004 may finally soon get the attention it all properly deserves.

Dean bitchslaps Wolf Blitzer/CNN

What a smackdown. Democrats did not take a single dime from the GOP kingpin, Abramoff . Howard Dean set Blitzer straight on this .

Im sick of the propaganda that the Repubs force feed media shills like Blitzer.

NOT ONE CENT TO DEMS FROM GOP/ABRAMOFF:

"BLITZER: Should Democrats who took money from Jack Abramoff, who has now pleaded guilty to bribery charges, among other charges, a Republican lobbyist in Washington, should the Democrat who took money from him give that money to charity or give it back?

DEAN: There are no Democrats who took money from Jack Abramoff, not one, not one single Democrat. Every person named in this scandal is a Republican. Every person under investigation is a Republican. Every person indicted is a Republican. This is a Republican finance scandal. There is no evidence that Jack Abramoff ever gave any Democrat any money. And we've looked through all of those FEC reports to make sure that's true.

BLITZER: But through various Abramoff-related organizations and outfits, a bunch of Democrats did take money that presumably originated with Jack Abramoff.
DEAN: That's not true either. There's no evidence for that either. There is no evidence...

BLITZER: What about Senator Byron Dorgan?
DEAN: Senator Byron Dorgan and some others took money from Indian tribes. They're not agents of Jack Abramoff. There's no evidence that I've seen that Jack Abramoff directed any contributions to Democrats. I know the Republican National Committee would like to get the Democrats involved in this. They're scared. They should be scared. They haven't told the truth. They have misled the American people. And now it appears they're stealing from Indian tribes. The Democrats are not involved in this.

BLITZER: Unfortunately Mr. Chairman, we got to leave it right there.Howard Dean, the chairman of the Democratic Party, always speaking out bluntly, candidly."

Bush sent our men to their deaths

from a NY Times article;

Extra Armor Could Have Saved Many Lives, Study ShowsBy MICHAEL MOSS
A secret Pentagon study has found that at least 80 percent of the marines who have been killed in Iraq from wounds to their upper body could have survived if they had extra body armor. That armor has been available since 2003 but until recently the Pentagon has largely declined to supply it to troops despite calls from the field for additional protection, according to military officials. ...Additional forensic studies by the Armed Forces Medical Examiner's unit that were obtained by The Times indicate that about 340 American troops have died solely from torso wounds.
Military officials said they had originally decided against using the extra plates because they were concerned they added too much weight to the vests or constricted the movement of soldiers. Marine Corps officials said the findings of the Pentagon study caused field commanders to override those concerns in the interest of greater protection....The findings and other research by military pathologists suggests that an analysis of all combat deaths in Iraq, including those of Army personnel, would show that 300 or more lives might have been saved with improved body armor.
Military officials and defense contractors said the Pentagon's procurement troubles have stemmed in part from miscalculations that underestimated the strength of the insurgency, and from years of cost-cutting that left some armoring firms on the brink of collapse as they waited for new orders.

evidence of spying on Kerry?

MSNBC changes transcript of an interview between Christine Amanpour and Andrea Mitchell.
Apparently Mitchell asked Amanpour about her being the victim of spying by the Bush NSA program. The transcript was then changed and that paragraph was excluded . Why? MSNBC made up some lame excuse .
I tend to believe the Bush NSA program wasnt aimed at Amanpour but her husband , James Rubin, who just happened to be John Kerrys campaign manager during the election of 2004.

No doubt.

Nixon returns
